Baby food...

First and foremost - wanna give props to my boys! I had a great Mother's Day yesterday!! Love the beautiful earrings and will get good use of the Starbucks giftcard!

Okay, back to food! Since Nate began eating solids at 6 months, I've tried to make them for him as much as possible. Then life happens.... So, I need some feedback from my readers... what are your "go-to" foods - easy to make and prepare for the little ones? My favs are yo-baby yogurt, organic applesauce (thanks to Rowena - cheaper than "baby food") and baking a sweet potato in the microwave.

Looking forward to some new ideas!

Mine used to eat canned refried beans... easy and fast. I also would make pasta and put it through the food processor (or dice it up when they were older). My all-time quick and easy meal was instant oatmeal... they still eat that!

Bananas are really easy...

Also pruree some cooked peas, carrots, or squash.

You can also try cooked, pureed pear, apple, plums, peaches.

I made all the baby food with #1, after that, the kids got the jarred food, 'cause I just didn't have time.

AVOCADOS!! My babies love them and you just peel and smash. They have the right type of fats for babies and are very good for them. Also, ditto on mashed bananas and applesauce.

You can also stay up one night and make an ice tray full of different baby foods. Cook, puree and freeze individual ffods in an ice tray or two. When you need to feed, just take a cube, defrost in micro and feed.

Cheerios and Kix are easy baby finger foods, too.
