Promoted?

Promoted already?

Well, I have truly enjoyed my last week at TAL. The work is going great, and the people are wonderful. The funny thing is that my position has already changed.

First, my position was Director of volunteer Development and Event Planning. Kinda long, but interesting. Now my new title is Director of Community Development. I think it encompasses even more!! Anna will be so proud (my friend who is passionate about community development).

So, I guess we will all have to wait until next week to see if this sticks, or we change again!

A new career!

The new job!

Well, it finally happened! My last day at St. Albert's was this past Friday. And what a day it was, I came early and stayed late!!! Should you really do that on your last day?

Tomorrow begins my new adventure! My position as Director of Volunteer Planning and Special Events begins at the Texas Alliance for Life (www.texasallianceforlife.org). Yea! I'm a director!! Can't wait to see what happens!

On another note, we had a great trip in PA to see Ry's family! It snowed!! Photos coming soon!!

to my last day unemployed...

I am Jack!

You scored as Jack. You're Jack! You're ready to step up and take control of a bad situation. You don't let fear in, and you're naturally a good person.

Baby Showers...

Baby Showers...

Well, Ryan has been complaining that I haven't posted recently...guess he just want to see what I want to write about.

Well, how about baby showers. I am throwing a second baby shower for a friend of mine. I didn't know her with the first baby, and wanted to celebrate this new life. I didn't realize the controversy regarding 2nd baby showers. Personally, I feel that every life should be celebrated! I also think I have a creative shower them (disposable) so she can stock up on all those things that run out way too quickly! Also, I'm gaining lots more data for my shower book that I've been working on. Time and money well spent, and I get to honor a woman who is a great person and supportive friend!

Guess I should work a little more! Until my next inspiration!

My first posting...

So, here we go! My first posting on our blog!! So much to talk about!

Guess, to begin, why am I doing this? Isn't it a bit voyeuristic looking into someone's personal life this way? Shouldn't there be some more privacy? But here I am, jumping on the bandwagon.

I believe this will provide me with a forum, if only I read it, where I can put into words all these ideas floating in my head. Boy, can't wait for those diatribes!!

Well, I should give it some thought on what my first official "topic" should be, and let some people know I'm doing this - in case they want to peruse my thoughts!

Until my next brainstorm...
