6 month photo shoot

We had fun taking some photos this month...momma gets a little carried away! His All Blacks onesie is from his favorite rugby team - the All Blacks from New Zealand. He would like some Australia teams, but hasn't got any onesies from them...

Nate's been lots of fun, despite the dang cedar allergies! He's playing more with his feet, waving at things (like pictures on the wall - I think he just wants to touch 'em), and napping well (like right now!).

Weather permitting we will be off this week to visit both sets of grandparents. We'll see...

eating...and more!

Wow, this has been a fun past week and a half for us! First, Nate has started now on the orange and yellow veggies - he seems to like sweet potatoes but not carrots. And tonight he decided he now doesn't like sweet potatoes! He is, though, a fan of the rice cereal.

And other other BIG event - Nate has moved into his room! I know, probably long overdue, but we, his parents, weren't ready. I put him down for his naps there on Monday, and Monday night Ry put him to bed! Yea! Well, he only slept until 1 am, and then back to our room But Tuesday night it was 9 pm - 6 am!! Yea Nate!!

I was soo worried that we would have a sleeping problem until I realized that we didn't have a routine. Once we put one in place, seems to be working well. We read a couple stories, then I lay him down for a nap. I do give him his favorite afghan that my grandmother gave him, and he's content. For evenings, it is his dinner, bath, nurse, stories and then bed!

We are off to visit my parents next week (Ry has a business trip), so we'll see if I can keep this up! Ry has been doing such a great job!

Here are a few of my favorite eating pics! Did a photo shoot too, so I put up the best tomorrow!

Happy Belated birthday!!

Okay, I'm only a week late...Happy Birthday Ryan! Sorry, with us all being sick around here, it is hard to find some free time :-)

I was planning to post my top 5 pics of Ry, but I went back only 7 months and already found 10. So, here are my top 10 pics of Ry since Nate has been born!

Love ya sweetie! To another super great year!!!

6 months!

Yea! Our little boy is 1/2 a year old!! And what a great 1/2 year it has been!!

This month has been lots of fun - we've travelled out of state (thanks for graduating Ted bacsi) and celebrated our first Christmas (with both grandparents, godparents, and great-grandmother!). We spent the longest time away from home (10 days), and have started on that yummy rice cereal. We also got sick for the first time - a virus (we think it was RSV)! Nate was sweet and shared it with his parents, grandparents, and more!

Nate is changing - like growing hair! yea, the fuzz is going away and longer hair is coming in! He's getting a little more mobile and likes being on his tummy. He can also sit for a bit, but eventually makes it to the "triangle" - leaning forward on his arms. He loves grabbing things, like anything in front of him, and his grandmothers have taught him to sip from a glass.

We also had his 6 month check-up this week and Nate is weighing in at 14 lbs 9 oz and 25 1/2 inches. This puts Nate in the 25th percentile for height, 10th percentile for weight (up from 3rd! yea) and 50th percentile for his head circumference.

Here are some highlights from our Christmas in Waco and Ft. Worth:

we're back!

We made it back from all of our family visits this Christmas/New Year's. It is nice to be home, sleeping in our own beds and all. Unfortunately we all got a bit sick, and are still getting better. At least we had family to take care of us!

Will post more about the trip. Nate also turned 6 months yesterday - yea! And he's now decided to grow some hair too!
